Credit Genie AutoPay Terms

1. Authorization to Store and Charge Your Designated Payment Method

By providing your payment information, either in the form of a debit card ("Linked Debit Card") or a bank account with ACH payment capabilities ("Linked Account") (either, your "Designated Payment Method") and by agreeing to the recurring payment terms presented in the Credit Genie platform, you authorize Credit Genie to store this information and use it to make recurring payments related to your Credit Genie account ("AutoPay"). This authorization covers:

Certification: You certify that you are the legal owner of each Designated Payment Method provided and have the authority to make payments from these accounts.

2. Automatic Recurring Payments

You authorize recurring payments from your Designated Payment Method on the dates and in the amounts described in the Credit Genie platform at the time of your authorization. For Tradeline Accounts, your recurring payments will be initiated on the due date and for the minimum payment due described on your billing statement each month. If the scheduled due date falls on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) or a federal holiday, you authorize Credit Genie to initiate the payment transfer on the immediately preceding business day.

  • Variable Amounts: You acknowledge that payment amounts may vary each month based on your purchases, payments, credits, or other adjustments. We will provide you with advance notice of the amount and date of your recurring payments as required by applicable law.

3. Payment Failures and Reprocessing

If a payment cannot be processed on the first attempt (due to being declined, returned, or reversed), you authorize Credit Genie to:

  • Automatically reprocess the payment in accordance with applicable law.
  • Charge any alternate payment method you have on file if your default method fails.

4. Liability and Bank Fees

  • Authorized Transactions: You authorize and are responsible for all transactions made under this agreement.
  • Third-Party Fees: Credit Genie is not liable for overdraft fees or similar charges assessed by your financial institution.

5. Duration, Revocation, and Updates

You are not required to enroll in AutoPay and you can cancel AutoPay at any time. This AutoPay authorization will remain in effect until it is cancelled by you or us.

  • How to Cancel: You may cancel AutoPay by contacting customer support at support.creditgenie.com. Your cancellation request must be received at least three (3) business days before a scheduled transfer to ensure the cancellation can be processed in time.
  • Updating Information: You are responsible for updating your Designated Payment Method(s), including your debit card number or expiration date, bank account number, and billing address. However, if updated payment information is made available by your bank, card issuer, or payment network, you authorize us to access and use this updated payment information to make AutoPay payments.
  • Continued Obligation: If AutoPay is cancelled or an AutoPay payment fails, you are still required to pay all amounts due. You may make manual payments at any time using the Credit Genie platform.
